COMMERCIAL INSURANCE PRODUCER

Redmon Insurance Agency – Collinsville & Edwardsville, IL
KEY NOTES:  
- Compensation & benefits dependent on W-2 or 1099
- Primarily remote.  Extend of in-office/zoom video conferencing with team dependent on agent/support team
- Location is open as position is primarily remote

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as insurance producer; primary focus is commercial lines
  • Generates prospects for new business
  • Meets with prospects to build a relationship, gather underwriting and quote information, delivery proposals and earn business
  • Primarily responsible for relationship management, new business development, and client account retention
  • Serves as backup to administrative team in meeting current client needs
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with team members and various carrier representatives
  • Complete training and maintain licensing associated with job function
  • Performed related duties as needed
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree suitable.  High school education considered 
  • Prior successful commercial lines sales experience is required, and owning present book of business a plus
  • Current insurance licensing
Skills:
  • Very strong interpersonal skills including the ability to connect with people
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including computer literacy
  • Very strong analytical skills including the ability to identify customer needs and insurance solutions
  • A valid Illinois or Missouri driver’s license
  • May be required to work earlier or later than the normal workday
  • Will require work outside the office, extended hours and client visits
